Biography
Michael A. Goorjian is an American actor, filmmaker and writer. Born on 4 February 1971 in San Francisco, he trained at UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film and Television after beginning acting in his teens.
As an actor, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special for his performance in the television film David's Mother (1994). He is also known for playing Justin Thompson in the series Party of Five (1994–2000) and Heroin Bob in SLC Punk! (1998) and its sequel Punk's Dead (2016).
Goorjian has directed several independent films, including Illusion (2004), which he wrote, directed and starred in alongside Kirk Douglas, and Amerikatsi (2022), which he wrote, directed and starred in; the latter was selected as Armenia’s submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
