Biography
Michael Deeley is a British film producer born on 6 August 1932 in London. He entered the industry in 1952 as an assistant editor and later produced his first short film in 1956.
Deeley produced The Italian Job (1969), The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), for which he shared an Academy Award for Best Picture, and Blade Runner (1982). He also served as executive producer on Convoy (1978) and held management roles at British Lion and EMI Films.
