Biography
Michael Ellis is a British film editor. Born on 30 September 1943 in Eton, Buckinghamshire, he began his career in the late 1960s and 1970s as an assistant editor and sound editor on films including If.... (1968) and The Go-Between (1971).
He is credited as editor on Superman (1978), Cross of Iron (1977), The Jewel of the Nile (1985), Brassed Off (1996), Little Voice (1998) and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008). Ellis has frequently collaborated with director Mark Herman and has also worked on television productions such as The Odyssey (1997).
