Biography

Michael France was an American screenwriter. He received screenplay credit on Cliffhanger (1993) and story credit on the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995).

Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on 4 January 1962, France graduated from the University of Florida and Columbia University's film school. His breakthrough came with the spec sale of the script that became Cliffhanger. He later contributed to Hulk (2003), The Punisher (2004) and Fantastic Four (2005), and did uncredited work on The World Is Not Enough (1999).

France died on 12 April 2013 in St. Pete Beach, Florida, aged 51.
