Biography
Michael Hyatt is a British-born American actress. Born Charlene Hyatt on 17 February 1970 in Birmingham, West Midlands, she is the daughter of Jamaican-born parents, including actor and broadcaster Charles Hyatt. She moved to the United States at the age of ten and trained at Howard University and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Hyatt began her career in theatre, performing on Broadway in Ragtime. She is known for recurring television roles including Brianna Barksdale in The Wire (2002–2006), Dr Noelle Akopian in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2016), Detective Sheila Muncie in Ray Donovan (2015–2016), and Cissy Saint in Snowfall (2017–2023). Her film credits include Nightcrawler (2014) as Detective Frontieri, The Little Things (2021) as Flo Dunigan, and Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) as Mabel.
