Biography
Michael McGowan was a cinematographer and camera operator. Born on 6 January 1946 in Jersey City, New Jersey, he worked on numerous feature films and television productions, frequently as a camera operator on titles including Caddyshack (1980), Pretty Baby (1978), The River (1984) and The Last of the Mohicans (1992). He served as director of photography on episodes of the series Miami Vice (1984) between 1987 and 1989, and on the series Super Force (1990–1991).
McGowan died on 17 November 2008 in Lecanto, Florida. He was a member of IATSE Local 600.
