Biography
Miles Goodman was an American composer and record producer. He composed music for numerous films and television series in the 1980s and 1990s, including episodes of Cagney & Lacey (1982).
Goodman graduated from Antioch College in Ohio with a degree in English and studied Shakespeare in London. Early in his career he collaborated with his cousin, the composer Johnny Mandel. He frequently worked with director Frank Oz on films such as Little Shop of Horrors (1986), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) and What About Bob? (1991). Other notable scores include Teen Wolf (1985), La Bamba (1987), The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993). He also produced jazz recordings.
Goodman died in 1996 at the age of 47.
