Biography

Milton Gray is an American animator, animation timer and director. He began his career in the 1970s working on animated feature films including Fritz the Cat (1972), Heavy Traffic (1973), Coonskin (1975) and Heavy Metal (1981). He contributed to the visual effects for Poltergeist (1982).

Gray worked extensively on the animated series The Simpsons (1989–2008), serving as an animation timer on more than sixty episodes and directing two episodes, including one co-directed with Wes Archer. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program as part of the The Simpsons team in 2003. His other television credits include directing on My Little Pony Tales and work on American Dad!.
