Biography
Milton Johns, born John Robert Milton on 13 May 1938 in Bristol, England, is an English actor. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School between 1959 and 1962 and subsequently worked with the company until 1965.
Johns has appeared in numerous British television series, including as Ernie in The Good Life (1975). Other credits include roles in Doctor Who (as Guy Crayford and Castellan Kelner), The Empire Strikes Back (1980) as Captain Bewil, Coronation Street as Brendan Scott (1991–93), and The Basil Brush Show (2002–07) as the landlord. He has also featured in Poldark, Ever Decreasing Circles, Yes Minister and Butterflies.
