Biography
Milton Selzer (25 October 1918 – 21 October 2006) was an American stage, film and television actor. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, he was raised in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. After serving in the US Army during the Second World War, he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the New School in New York.
Selzer began his career with small parts on Broadway in the late 1940s and 1950s, including productions of Julius Caesar (1950) and Arms and the Man (1950). He moved to Hollywood in 1960 and appeared in numerous television series and films. His credits include the role of Man at Track in Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie (1964), Professor Parker in Get Smart (1965–1966), Dr Burroughs in Capricorn One (1977) and Granpa in Sid and Nancy (1986). He was married to Alice Hickox from 1953 until his death.
Selzer's final screen appearance was in the 1995 television film Cagney & Lacey: Together Again. He died in Oxnard, California.
