Biography
Mitch Glazer is an American screenwriter, producer and actor. Born in 1953 in Key Biscayne, Florida, and raised in Miami, he attended Miami Beach High School and New York University. Before entering film, he wrote for music publications including Rolling Stone and Crawdaddy!, and collaborated with Michael O'Donoghue.
His screenwriting credits include the Bill Murray comedy Scrooged (1988), the modern adaptation Great Expectations (1998) directed by Alfonso Cuarón, The Recruit (2003), Rock the Kasbah (2015) and the television series Magic City (2012), which he created. He also directed and co-wrote Passion Play (2011). Glazer has worked as a producer on films including Lost in Translation (2003).
He is the nephew of producer Sidney Glazier and has been married to actress Kelly Lynch since 1992.
