Biography
Mort Abrahams was an American film and television producer. Born in New York City on 26 March 1916, he began his career in television, producing early science-fiction series including Tom Corbett, Space Cadet (1950–55) and episodes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964–68).
He worked as associate producer on Planet of the Apes (1968), Doctor Dolittle (1967) and Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969). He co-wrote the story for Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), on which he was also associate producer. Later credits include executive producer on The Holcroft Covenant (1985). Abrahams died in Sherman Oaks, California, on 28 May 2009.
