Biography
Murray McArthur is an English actor. Born on 4 May 1966 in Honiton, Devon, he trained at Loughborough University, where he took a BA in English and Drama, and at the Drama Studio London. He has worked extensively in British regional theatre and on the West End, as well as in film and television.
His screen credits include Dim Dalba in Game of Thrones (2015–2016), Hákon Iron-Beard in The Northman (2022), the Ship's Captain in Wonka (2023), Fabian in Wednesday (2022), Ammred in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022–2024), and Hoark in How to Train Your Dragon (2025).
