Biography
Musetta Vander is a South African actress. Born Musetta van der Merwe on 26 May 1963 in Durban, she trained at Rand Afrikaans University, where she earned a BA, and qualified as a ballet teacher. She began her career hosting an MTV-style television programme in South Africa before moving to the United States.
Vander is known for roles including Munitia in Wild Wild West (1999), Sindel in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997), a Siren in O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), and appearances in The Cell (2000), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) and Stargate SG-1 (1997). Her earlier work includes the series Super Force (1991) and music videos. She has also performed on stage, notably in the South African play Soweto's Burning.
