Biography
Myra Lucretia Taylor is an American actress and singer. Born on 9 July 1960 in Fort Motte, South Carolina, she graduated from Yale University and made her Broadway debut in the 1988 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire.
She has appeared in numerous stage productions, including Mule Bone, Nine, Macbeth and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical (2019), for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical as Gran Georgeanna. Her screen credits include roles in Crossing Delancey (1988), Unfaithful (2002), Changing Lanes (2002), Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007), The Big Sick (2017), Unsane (2018) as Counselor, American Fiction (2023) and television series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Elementary and Defending Jacob.
