Biography
Naheem Garcia, also credited as Naheem R. Garcia, is an actor and theatre educator. He has appeared in numerous feature films, including The Holdovers (2023) as Danny, Challengers (2024) as Tashi's Father, Madame Web (2024) as Landlord, Free Guy (2021) as Convenience Store Owner Joe, The Equalizer 2 (2018) as the Israel & Rose Horowitz Residence Director, The Purge: Election Year (2016) as Angel Munoz, and R.I.P.D. (2013) as an R.I.P.D. Cop.
Garcia grew up in Boston after arriving from Cuba in 1968 with his mother, grandmother and aunt. He received formal theatre training at the New African Company, where he has been a Distinguished Artist-In-Residence since 2004, and is the founder and lead teaching artist of NG edutainment, an arts and education programme based in Boston. He has worked as a teaching artist with the Huntington Theatre Company's Education Department for nearly thirty years.
