Biography
Nat Faxon is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter and director. Born on 11 October 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, he graduated from Hamilton College and began performing with the Los Angeles improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings in 2001.
Faxon co-wrote the screenplay for The Descendants (2011) with Jim Rash and Alexander Payne, winning the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He made his directorial debut co-directing The Way, Way Back (2013) with Rash, and later directed episodes of the series Community (2015) as well as the film Downhill (2020).
He has starred in the television series Ben and Kate (2012–2013) and Married (2014–2015), and voices Elfo in the animated series Disenchantment (2018–2023). Faxon has appeared in numerous comedy films, including Bad Teacher (2011) and Sex Tape (2014).
