Biography
Natalie Holt is a British composer of film and television scores. Born in Worthing, West Sussex, she trained as a violinist at the Royal Academy of Music before studying composition at the National Film and Television School. She worked as a classical violinist, performing at the Royal Albert Hall and the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony, prior to her composing career.
Holt is known for her scores for the Disney+ series Loki (2021–2023) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), for which she became the first woman to compose for a live-action Star Wars project. Other credits include Journey's End (2017), The Princess (2022), The Honourable Woman (2014) and the 2024 series Rivals, on which she collaborated with Jack Halama. She contributed additional music to Paddington (2014).
In 2015 she shared an Ivor Novello Award for The Honourable Woman. She was made an associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2017 and has received Emmy nominations and a World Soundtrack Award for Television Composer of the Year.
