Biography
Neve McIntosh is a Scottish actress. Born Carol McIntosh on 9 April 1972 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, she grew up in Edinburgh and trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. She began her career in repertory theatre companies in Perth and on the Isle of Mull, and appeared in stage productions including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
McIntosh is known for her television roles as Madame Vastra in Doctor Who (2010–2014), Kate Kilmuir in Shetland (2013–2018), and Georgia Simmons in Tin Star (2017). Her film credits include Plunkett & Macleane (1999). She appears as Lori in the 2026 series Half Man.
