Biography
Nigel Galt is a British film editor and sound editor. Born in April 1953 in Eton, Buckinghamshire, he began his career in the 1970s with assistant editing and sound roles on feature films.
He worked with Stanley Kubrick as a sound editor on Full Metal Jacket (1987) and later as editor on Eyes Wide Shut (1999), joining the project before principal photography and spending 15 months in the editing room with the director. Galt has edited features including The Ferryman (2007) and Bloodline (2018), and received a BAFTA Television Craft Award for sound on the series Inspector Morse.
