Biography
Numan Acar is a Turkish-born German actor and film producer. Born on 7 October 1974 in the village of Kozoglu in Turkey, he emigrated with his family to Germany in 1982. After completing a bricklaying apprenticeship and studying civil engineering in Wiesbaden, graduating in 2001, he began acting while at university.
Acar started performing in Turkish and German films and television from 2003. He founded the production company Acar Entertainment in 2007, specialising in German-Turkish productions. He gained wider recognition for his role as Haissam Haqqani in the television series Homeland (2014–2020). His film credits include In the Fade (2017), Aladdin (2019) as Hakim, and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) as Dimitri. He lives in Berlin and speaks several languages fluently.
