Biography

Oleg Mutu is a Romanian cinematographer and film producer. He was born on 22 July 1972 in Chișinău, then part of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic.

He has worked regularly with director Cristian Mungiu. Mutu was cinematographer and producer on 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007). His other credits as cinematographer include The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005), Tales from the Golden Age (2009), My Joy (2010), Beyond the Hills (2012), In the Fog (2012), In Bloom (2013) and Donbass (2018). He shared the European Film Award for Best Film for 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days and received a Gopo Award for Best Cinematography.
