Biography
Oli Julian is a British composer for television and film. He is credited as Oliver Julian on some earlier projects. Based in Sheffield, he studied languages before completing a master's in music production at the University of Westminster and began his career in advertising music.
Julian is known for his scores for Sex Education (2019–2023), Catastrophe (2015–2019), Motherland (2016–2022), Us (2020), Renegade Nell (2024), The Full Monty (2023), Crashing (2016) and How to Build a Girl (2020). Recent credits include Amandaland (2025), Alma's Not Normal (2024), The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin (2024), Fackham Hall (2025) and The Twits (2025). He has collaborated with songwriters including David Byrne, Nick Cave and Ezra Furman.
He is an RTS award winner, for the original title music of Motherland, and an Ivor Novello nominee.
