Oren Peli is an Israeli filmmaker. He wrote, directed, produced, photographed and edited the 2007 horror film Paranormal Activity.

Born on 21 January 1970 in Ramat Gan, Israel, Peli moved to the United States at the age of 19. He previously worked as a software programmer, including on graphics software and video game networking code.

Peli has produced subsequent entries in the Paranormal Activity franchise as well as the first five Insidious films. He also produced and co-wrote Chernobyl Diaries (2012).
