Biography

Óscar Faura is a Spanish cinematographer. He graduated from the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC) and has worked as a cinematographer since 1999.

Faura is known for his collaborations with director J. A. Bayona on The Orphanage (2007), The Impossible (2012), A Monster Calls (2016) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). His other credits include The Imitation Game (2014), for which he received an ASC nomination, and episodes of the television series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022). He won a Goya Award for Best Cinematography for A Monster Calls.
