Biography
Otto Meyer was an American film editor. Born in San Francisco, California, on 12 July 1901, he began working as a film editor in 1931 and edited approximately 80 films and television productions through the 1960s. He was under long-term contract at Columbia Pictures from 1933 to 1945.
Meyer received Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing for Theodora Goes Wild (1936) and The Talk of the Town (1942). Among his other credits are Penny Serenade (1941), You'll Never Get Rich (1941), The More the Merrier (1943) and episodes of the television series Perry Mason (1957–1961) and Gunsmoke (1959–1967). He died in California on 18 April 1980.
