Biography
Pat Crawford Brown was an American actress. Born in New York City on 29 June 1929, she worked as an English teacher at Carson High School before retiring in the 1980s to pursue acting. Her screen debut came in the 1985 television film Do You Remember Love.
She appeared in films including The Rocketeer (1991), Sister Act (1992), Reality Bites (1994) and Norbit (2007), in which she played Mrs. Henderson. On television she had a recurring role as Ida Greenberg in the series Desperate Housewives (2004–2007) and guest roles in series such as How I Met Your Mother and Bones.
Brown was married to Calvin B. Brown from 1961 until his death in 1976; they had one child. She died in Woodland Hills, California, on 2 July 2019.
