Biography
Patty Jenkins is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. She directed the feature films Monster (2003), Wonder Woman (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). She also directed episodes of television series including Arrested Development (2003), Entourage (2004) and The Killing (2011).
Jenkins began her career after studying painting at the Cooper Union in New York and working for several years as an assistant cameraperson on commercials and music videos. For Monster, her debut feature, she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. She received a Directors Guild of America award and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for directing the pilot of The Killing.
