Biography

Paul Barber is an English actor. He was born Patrick Barber on 18 March 1951 in Toxteth, Liverpool.

Barber began his career on stage in musicals such as Hair. His early screen roles included a part in The Long Good Friday (1980) as Erroll. He is best known for playing Denzil Tulser in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses (1981–2003) and Barrington "Horse" Mitchell in the film The Full Monty (1997). Other credits include appearances in The 51st State (2001), Death in Paradise (2011) and Coronation Street.

In 2011 he received an honorary doctorate from Liverpool John Moores University for his contribution to the performing arts. He has also written an autobiography, Foster Kid, about his early life.
