Biography
Paul Matthew Thompson is a British television writer and producer. He has written multiple episodes of the ITV crime drama Vera (2011), and contributed to series including EastEnders (1985), Father Brown (2013), Casualty and Holby City.
Thompson is co-creator and executive producer of the ITV detective series Ridley (2022). He created The Good Ship Murder (2023) for Channel 5 and jointly created the BBC daytime series Shakespeare & Hathaway - Private Investigators (2018), which has run for multiple series and sold internationally. Other credits include the BBC drama Land Girls (2009).
