Biography
Claire Winyard is a British television director. She studied at the University of Wales and began her career at the BBC, directing studio entertainment programmes including Top of the Pops and The National Lottery Live.
Her drama credits include 23 episodes of EastEnders (1996–2014), multiple episodes of Casualty (1998–2015), Holby City, Death in Paradise (2017), Call the Midwife (2018), Our Girl (2020), Traces (2022) and Vera (2023–2025). She has also directed children's series such as Bodger & Badger and Parallel 9 (1993–1994). She is married to writer Mark Billingham.
