Biography
Paul Sanchez is an American actor, also credited as Paul Miceli-Sanchez. He is a native of Los Angeles and has Mexican-American and Native-American heritage. After attending the University of Hawaii on an athletic scholarship, where he earned two degrees, he studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York on a full scholarship.
Sanchez began his screen career in the mid-1980s. He is known for playing Doc in Platoon (1986) and Ramon in Cast Away (2000). Other credits include Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Navy Seals (1990), True Blood (2008), Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) and Revenge (2011). He has also worked as a director, writer and producer, including on the documentaries Platoon: Brothers in Arms (2018) and This Is Me (2024).
