Biography
Paul Simon is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Born Paul Frederic Simon on 13 October 1941 in Newark, New Jersey, he formed the folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel with Art Garfunkel in the 1950s.
The pair achieved commercial success in the 1960s with albums including Bridge over Troubled Water (1970). Simon later pursued a solo career, releasing albums such as Graceland (1986).
As an actor, he played Tony Lacey in Woody Allen's Annie Hall (1977). He also wrote and starred in the 1980 film One-Trick Pony.
