Biography
Peggy Lu is an American actress and pharmacist, best known for playing convenience store owner Mrs. Chen in the Sony Spider-Man Universe films Venom (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024). She also appeared as the character in a brief uncredited cameo in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
Born in New York City on 22 February 1963, Lu is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrant parents. She earned a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Colorado Denver and worked as a hospice pharmacist while pursuing acting. Her other screen credits include Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002), Always Be My Maybe (2019) and guest roles in series such as NCIS: Los Angeles and Superstore. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
