Biography
Peter John Dennis (25 October 1933 – 18 April 2009) was an English actor who worked in film, television, theatre and voice roles. He was born in Dorking, Surrey.
Dennis appeared in British productions including The Avengers (1967) before moving to the United States, where he took guest roles in series such as Friends (1994), Seinfeld (1989), Star Trek: Voyager (1995), Alias (2001) and Murder, She Wrote (1984). His film credits include Sideways (2004) as Leslie Brough and the voice of an Ogre Hunter in Shrek (2001).
He was best known for his one-man stage show Bother! The Brain of Pooh, which he performed for more than three decades, presenting selections from the works of A. A. Milne. The show received a Drama-Logue Award and other theatre honours.
