Biography
Peter Mensah is a Ghanaian-British actor. Born on 27 August 1959 in Chiraa, Ghana, he moved to Hertfordshire, England, as a child and later emigrated to Canada, where he is based.
He began practising martial arts at the age of six and worked as an engineer before turning to acting. Mensah is best known for playing Oenomaus (Doctore) in the Starz series Spartacus (2010–2013) and its prequel Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011). His film roles include the Persian Messenger in 300 (2007), the Horse Clan Leader in Avatar (2009), General Joe Greller in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Jugurtha in Gladiator II (2024).
