Biography
Peter Spears (born 29 November 1965) is an American actor and film producer. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, he began his career as an actor with roles in films including Father of the Bride Part II (1995), The Opposite of Sex (1998) and Something's Gotta Give (2003), and television series such as Friends.
Spears produced Call Me by Your Name (2017), in which he also appeared as Isaac, and later produced Nomadland (2020), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. His other producing credits include Bones and All (2022), Queer (2024) and On Swift Horses (2025). He has also directed the short film Ernest and Bertram and developed television series including John from Cincinnati.
