Biography
Phil Cornwell is an English actor, comedian, impressionist and writer. He was born on 5 October 1957 in Essex, England, and first appeared on television in 1980.
Cornwell is known for his role as local radio DJ Dave Clifton in the BBC series I'm Alan Partridge (1997–2002) and the film Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (2013). He provided the voice of the Stare-Out Commentator in the sketch series Big Train (1998). He co-wrote and performed in Stella Street (1997–2004) and The Glam Metal Detectives (1995), and is part of the Dead Ringers series. Cornwell voices Murdoc Niccals in the virtual band Gorillaz.
