Biography
Phil Lewis is a production designer and art director who has worked primarily in British animation.
He began in the art department on Wallace & Gromit shorts, serving as assistant art director on The Wrong Trousers (1993) and art director on A Close Shave (1995). He later worked as production designer on Chicken Run (2000), Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008).
Lewis received an Annie Award for outstanding achievement in production design in an animated feature for Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. He has also worked as art director on The Pirates! Band of Misfits (2012) and production designer on Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires (2021).
