Biography
Piero Poletto (1925–1978) was an Italian production designer and art director. He trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, where he obtained a diploma in scenography, and also studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.
He is best known for his work with director Michelangelo Antonioni on L'Avventura (1960), L'Eclisse (1962) and Red Desert (1964), as well as The Passenger (1975). Other credits include production design on Sunflower (1970) and All the Way Boys (1972), and art direction on The 10th Victim (1965). Over a career spanning more than twenty years he contributed to nearly fifty films.
