Biography
Pilar Savone is an American film producer and former assistant director. She began her career in the 1990s working as a second assistant director and production coordinator on films including Jackie Brown (1997) and The Minus Man (1999). She later served as personal assistant to Quentin Tarantino on Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004).
Savone progressed to associate producer on Grindhouse (2007) and Inglourious Basterds (2009). She received a producer credit on Django Unchained (2012), for which she shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Since 2018 she has been executive vice president of production and development at Simpson Street, the company founded by Kerry Washington, where she has executive produced series including Little Fires Everywhere (2020) and Reasonable Doubt (2022).
