Biography
Preeya Kalidas is a British actress and singer. She was born on 21 June 1980 in Isleworth, London, and trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
She is known for her film roles as Monica in Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and Sofia in Four Lions (2010), and for playing Maya Dutta in the series Bodies (2004). On television she portrayed Amira Masood in EastEnders (2009–2012). Kalidas has also appeared in stage musicals including the West End productions of Bombay Dreams, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Bend It Like Beckham the Musical.
