Biography
Rae Dawn Chong is a Canadian actress. Born on 28 February 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, she is the daughter of comedian and actor Tommy Chong. She made her feature film debut in Stony Island (1978).
Chong received the Genie Award for Best Actress for her performance in Quest for Fire (1981). She is also known for her roles as Squeak in The Color Purple (1985) and Cindy in Commando (1985). Her other credits include Beat Street (1984), Soul Man (1986) and later television appearances such as in American Crime Story (2016) and 9-1-1 (2018).
