Biography

Ramon Bieri was an American actor. He appeared as Cato in the 1973 film Badlands.

Bieri began his stage career in 1954, appearing on and off-Broadway, including in a 1975 production of Death of a Salesman. He later performed with the ensemble at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. On screen from the early 1960s, he had a prolific career as a character actor in television series and films through the 1970s and 1980s, with roles including Major Manchek in The Andromeda Strain (1971), an uncredited part in The Conversation (1974), Corlette in Sorcerer (1977) and appearances in Reds (1981). He starred in the short-lived NBC sitcom Joe's World (1979–80).

Bieri was a decorated Korean War veteran. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, on 27 May 2001.
