Biography
Randall Carver is an American actor. Born on 25 May 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas, he trained at West Texas State University and the University of California, Los Angeles, and began his career in the late 1960s.
He is known for portraying John Burns, a naïve student turned taxi driver, throughout the first season (1978–79) of the series Taxi. His other credits include an uncredited role in Midnight Cowboy (1969), appearances in The Six Million Dollar Man (1974) and Murder, She Wrote (1984), and later film roles such as Mr. Bankside in There Will Be Blood (2007) and himself in Man on the Moon (1999).
Carver has also appeared in Malcolm in the Middle (2000) and Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond (2017).
