Biography
Raynor Scheine, also credited as Raynor Johnson, is an American actor born on 19 January 1942 in Emporia, Virginia. He trained at Virginia Commonwealth University and has worked in film, television and theatre since the late 1970s.
Scheine is known for supporting roles in films including My Cousin Vinny (1992) as Ernie Crane, Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) as Sheriff Curtis Smoote, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) as Woodstock, The Quick and the Dead (1995) as Ratsy and Lincoln (2012) as Josiah S. 'Beanpole' Burton. His name is a play on the phrase 'rain or shine'.
On stage he has appeared on Broadway in productions such as Joe Turner's Come and Gone (1988) and Gem of the Ocean (2004–2005), both as Rutherford Selig.
