Biography
Reda Kateb is a French actor, director and screenwriter. He made his feature film debut as Jordi in A Prophet (2009), directed by Jacques Audiard.
He has appeared in films including Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Me, Myself and Mum (2013), Hippocrates (2014), Far from Men (2015), The Specials (2019) and The Wolf's Call (2019). Kateb won the César Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Hippocrates. He directed the short film Pitchoune, which screened in the Directors' Fortnight at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, and later directed the feature Sur un fil (2024).
Kateb is the son of Algerian actor Malek-Eddine Kateb and a grandnephew of writer Kateb Yacine.
