Biography
Richard Crudo is an American cinematographer and director. He served as director of photography on American Pie (1999) and other features including American Buffalo (1996), Down to Earth (2001), Out Cold (2001), Grind (2003) and Brooklyn Rules (2007).
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Crudo began his career in New York working as an assistant camera on films such as Raising Arizona (1987) and Ghostbusters II (1989). He has photographed episodes of television series including Justified, Jane the Virgin and S.W.A.T.. Crudo has served six terms as president of the American Society of Cinematographers and three years as a governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
