Biography
Rift Fournier was an American television writer, screenwriter and producer. He was born on 16 May 1936 in Wichita, Kansas, and died on 6 October 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Fournier began acting and screenwriting at the Omaha Community Playhouse at the age of 13. He co-produced the initial syndicated version of The Mike Douglas Show in 1963. He wrote episodes of series including Kojak (1973), Baretta (1975), Charlie's Angels (1976), Highway to Heaven (1984), Matlock (1986) and NYPD Blue (1993). He also wrote, directed and produced the Emmy-winning children's series Go! (1973–76) for NBC.
