Biography
Rob Riggle is an American actor and comedian. Born on 21 April 1970 in Louisville, Kentucky, he graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Film. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel before retiring in 2013.
Riggle was a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2004 to 2005 and a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show from 2006 to 2008. He has appeared in films including Step Brothers (2008), The Hangover (2009), 21 Jump Street (2012) and Strays (2023), in which he voiced Rolf. He played the recurring character Gil Thorpe on the sitcom Modern Family from 2013 to 2019.
